LunchBreakJake was born and raised in the sticks of North Carolina. His first love was skateboarding in the 2nd grade. He's always chose to be himself and has always dressed as he pleased. When growing up his go-to look was colored skinny jeans, until his huevos dropped. He also always loved music, especially Hip-Hop, but the summer before high school he heard the rapper, Earl Sweatshirt, for the first time which made him want to rap instantly. He got the name LunchBreakJake from a friend in school when they would share their raps with each other at the lunch table. His signature sound could be described as a vibey & laid-back feel mixed with up-tempo production while weaving introspective thoughts and melodic mantras that speak to the dreamers. Some of his early musical influences consist of Chance The Rapper, Earl Sweatshirt, Alex Wiley, & Mac Miller. LunchBreakJake is a student of the game with the goal of making great music and adding value to the art that saved his life.
